Wellspring Therapy offers a variety of massage therapies to relax tension, improve circulation and promote a state of physical and psychological well-being.  These sessions are designed to reduce stress and tension; leaving you feel soothed and relaxed.

Swedish Massage – Discover pure relaxation with a Swedish massage.  This technique incorporates various strokes using light to medium pressure to reduce tension, soothe sore muscles and increase circulation.

Deep Tissue Massage – This technique is particularly beneficial for those who experience chronic muscle tension.  The therapist’s strokes are slower, using more direct pressure and friction.  Pressure is adjusted throughout the massage in order to work down through muscle tissue and release tension at a deeper level.

Pre- and Post-natal Massage – This is an especially relaxing massage to release the stress and tension that is placed on an expecting or new mother’s body.  Extra care and attention is given to the mother’s comfort and stage of pregnancy.  These techniques are excellent for improving circulation and diminishing back and hip pain.

Sports Massage – Anyone who routinely challenges their physical limits through exercise or strenuous activities will benefit from this type of therapy.  The techniques include classic Swedish massage, compression strokes, transverse and cross-fiber strokes, and active joint movements and stretches.  The goal is to relieve stiffness and soreness and promote recovery.

Neck, Back and Shoulder Massage – This is the perfect massage for the busy professional or anyone who finds that they experience muscle tension and stress in these particular areas.  Specific attention to the neck, back and shoulder area produces deep relaxation, so that you feel as if the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders.

Face/Scalp Massage – People are often surprised at the amount of tension they hold in their head and face, particularly around the jaw.  A facial massage is a very pleasurable experience and may help minimize tension lines and wrinkles by relaxing the muscles and stimulating the blood vessels under the skin, restoring a relaxed appearance and a healthy glow.

Trigger Point (Myofascial Release) Massage – Trigger points are tiny nodules that form in muscles.  They are often tender to the touch or may cause referred pain and tenderness in other areas.  This technique uses direct pressure, deep stroking, and kneading to release muscle spasm and improve circulation.

Foot Massage – For those who spend a lot of time on their feet or anyone who enjoys the simple pleasure of a good foot rub, a foot massage can help reduce stress and improve circulation.  The therapist works to undo knots and tension in your toes, balls of your feet, arches, and ankles to both soothe your feet and relax your body as well.
