Marilen has been with Wellspring Therapy since its inception in 1995, and she is proud to be part of an amazing team of therapists and staff. Marilen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She is approved by the California Board of Occupational Therapy to practice Hand Therapy and Physical Agent Modalities. She has had extensive training in treating job-related injuries and orthopedic hand injuries. In addition to providing patient care, Marilen collaborates with administrative support in promoting our practice. When she is not working, she devotes her time with her husband and two remarkable boys. She enjoys watching her boys play competitive baseball and basketball, dining out, going to the beach, and venturing museums.
Larry earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Sacramento State University with emphasis on therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation and his Master of Physical Therapy from California State University at Northridge. While working as a physical therapist, Larry earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Science and has earned certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Larry chose physical therapy as his profession due to his passion for helping others as well and his interest in sports and movement of the human body. He places high expectations not only on himself, but also on his patient, who he believes is the most important part of the rehabilitation team. He is a veteran of the United Sates Air Force and has recently retired from the Air Force Reserves. Larry enjoys watching live sports, hiking, live music, barbecue, and exploring Southern California.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science at the University of Michigan, a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Science, and Master's in Physical Therapy at Wayne State University. He has a wide-range of clinical experiences, ranging from chronic pain syndromes to work-related injuries to elite athletics. He continues to play wood bat baseball and basketball competitively, and explores the West Coast through biking, hiking, and eating.
Cindy received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Midwestern University. She has completed intensive, specialized training programs in manual orthopedic physical therapy. Cindy loves spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys attending sporting events (her children's and professional), traveling, spending time outdoors hiking in the local mountains and going to the beach.
Lilly earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary's College in Los Angeles. Before joining the Physical Therapy field Lilly worked as a voice over agent in the Minneapolis and Los Angeles areas. However, she always had a desire to be a therapist, and so in her spare time worked as a fitness director and instructor. Lilly believes that you're never too mature to go after your dreams: “Keep your body and your life moving!” She enjoys spinning, road biking, cooking, spending time with family, and is an avid yogi.
Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences. She has a passion for helping a variety of orthopedic patients with common knee, shoulder, and back pain as well as rehabbing athletes. She has a passion for learning and hopes to obtain her Orthopedic Certified Specialist credential in the future. She grew up in the beautiful and active state of Colorado and loves hiking, playing volleyball, and watching any sport.
Charmaine earned her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. After working in the biotech industry for several years, she found her true passion in helping others and later received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University. Charmaine enjoys being a physical therapist because it allows her to help others improve their mobility and overall well-being. In her spare time, Charmaine likes spending time with family and friends, watching live music, and traveling.
Miriam earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego, where she competed as a member of the Track and Field team. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Miriam has a background and passion for treating patients with a variety of orthopedic and neurological disorders. She enjoys running, hiking, practicing yoga and playing with bunnies.
Jason has been passionate about martial arts and athletic training from a young age. He is an accomplished athlete himself with impressive achievements. He is a former U.S. Kickboxing middle-weight Champion, a Kung Fu Champion, and a "Hall of Fame" inductee. Jason was the coach for the U.S. Kickboxing team and helped develop the careers of several U.S. and international champions. With over 20 years of training experience, Jason excels in coaching everyone from fitness beginners to seasoned professional athletes. His fitness classes have inspired and guided thousands to new physical heights.
Joanne has over 12 years of experience in working in a medical office setting and has 8 years of experience in management. She works closely with therapists and billing departments to coordinate patient care at all levels. With an undergraduate degree in Political Science, she had interest in pursuing a career in Corporate Law. However, it took a turn as she found serving the needs of patients in a medical setting very fulfilling.
